It quickly grew to up to 9000 participants per event and remains at the forefront of the growth spurt in the fledgling sport of obstacle racing with its larger than life obstacles and innovative courses to rencontre South Africans. According to the Warrior Race, one of the reasons why obstacle racing is so popular is considering anyone can participate. All you need is a pair of old running shoes and a sense of adventure.  What makes obstacle racing unique is that it is one of only a few opportunities for athletes from variegated sporting codes, like cycling, trail running, road running, crossfit, karate, judo, rugby, soccer, hockey, etc. to compete versus each other on a level playing field.  The Warrior Race has certainly struck a chord with the outdoor-minded athlete and weekend warrior alike! What is obstacle undertow racing? Obstacle undertow racing (OCR) is a sport in which a competitor completes a undertow on foot, encountering physical challenges/obstacles withal the way. At Warrior Race, competitors will be challenged by world matriculation obstacles that will involve jumping off a 6m or 4m platform into water, psoriasis through mud under a wire fence, rival up slippery slopes and running or swimming wideness water obstacles, and much, much more!
